There are 3 major ruins sites to visit, the largest being San Gervacio. Dining out is a tough choice when you have so many fantastic restaurants, though my personal favorite is Carlos N Charlies. Be sure to rent a Jeep for at least a day or two and tour the island, its natural parks, and secret hideaways.Quick Tips: Be sure to pack LOTS of bug repellent. The mosquitos on the island are merciless in their quests. Sunscreen is a MUST for those long hot summer days. Take a pair of hiking boots, and leave the skiis at home! Ruins of Chichen Itza

Attraction | "Chichen Itza"

One of the most famous of the Mayan Ruins, this place is a MUST SEE if you are travelling to Mexico anytime soon. The large temple that lies in the center of the ruins is just breathtaking, not to mention 99 steps high at a 45 degree angle! The ballfield is well-known for its musical acoustics, and the cenote well draws mystery to the childlike imagination. An experience unlike any other.
