The Beach in September

A September 2002 trip to Myrtle Beach by WV CHICK

Quote: Summer at Myrtle Beach is good but September is better...less people so it is quieter and less crowded. The temperatures are still warm enough to get a tan and swimming is at its best with ideal temperatures.(The ocean was 80 degrees the week we were there).

    Our accommodations were excellent with ocean front views. Ocean breezes at night made for great sleeping. No AC was necessary in our 9th floor ocean-view room. Warm air and ocean temperatures were ideal for the beach. We have been to MB in the summer and this was our first time in mid-Sept. We definitely prefer the slower-paced and the more relaxed environment in September.Quick Tips: Try as many of the great restaurants as you can in the Murrels Inlet- Myrtle Beach area. DRUNKIN JACK'S, BOVINE'S, and T-BONES are ones we really liked.     The Yachtsman is an established timeshare in a great location, and they have all of the kinks well worked out. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the staff was friendly and helpful.We had a one bedroom unit on an upper floor(there is an elevator). In addition to the typical amenities that we have had in other timeshares, we liked that the Yachtsman offered two TVs. We were told that in 2003 VCRs would be added.
