There are so many acivities to do in Puerto Vallarta. I took a boat snorkeling one day. Got on a bus to discover the city and the areas around it. For 25 cents, it was a major deal.
The restaurants were wonderful. I had a meal prepared at my table of wonderful shrimp and an appetizer and dessert plus a drink for . La Casita!
With people I met, I discovered Daiquiri Dicks and his 10 kinds of daiquiris by the pitcher. We also ventured to the Crystal Palace Disco one evening. The music didn't start until 11 and then it was a sight to behold from the tiered tables. I was in awe of the Latin dancers and mesmerized by the atmosphere.
Quick Tips:
Take a tour first to get your bearings but then, plan out your days so you don't miss the highlights like a Mexican Fiesta : colorful, musical and fun, some water activity and just walking the town.
The beach vendors here can be a real nuisance but if you stay on the property, they can not come up and bother you.
Check out the bread room at the grocery store. Hundreds of sweet or flat or different kinds of breads. It was mind boggling!
Talk to the natives. They are warm people and interesting.
One last tip. Take all your laundry to the laundromat. For .50 , I had ten pounds of clothes washed and dried and folded and ready to go back into my suitcase. Such a deal!
Best Way To Get Around:
The best way to get around is by bus. The taxis are much more expensive and the driver will help you to find where you need to get off!
