My favorite Place in Peru was Machu Picchu, I went with my family for about 5 days. (2 kinds and 3 adults).
Machu Picchu is an amazing place, I was there early in the morning to get the sunrise
Just Magic! Well I will tell you about my adventure!
We arrive into Cusco in the afternoon. Sheyla From Mythical trails Peru ( local travel agent used) was waiting for us, we took a taxi to Pisaq from Airport (no chance to stop in the city of Cusco),.
We spend the first night at Royal Inca Hotel, at the beginning I wasn’t agree with Pisaq because I wanted to stay in Cusco city and explore and relax after Lima ( crazy and noisy city).
Sheyla told me that Pisaq is lower than Cusco and perfect to avoid the Altitude sickness. I think it was Perfect .
We went to town to explore the famous Market of Pisaq. I have to say that it was interesting , I got a nice jacket in this Andean market, if you guys stay in Cusco, try to visit this Market and the ruins on the mountain. Next day we got a nice private tour for the Sacred valley of the inkas, visited Urubamba and Ollantaytambo and took a tran to Aguas Calientes.
Machu Picchu was our dreamed destination, we took the first bus up to the City, I loved the sun rise over the side, Machu Picchu is amazing because the location and scenery. I advise to go MP early in the morning so you will find the city with few people exploring, later on the hikers from Inca trail and people from the train arrive and it ruins the place.
We loved MP

I just returned from Peru too and reading your post is almost like reliving it. I did almost everything you mention here on one of the Adventure Life tours. I came back from Pisac with 2 sets of earrings each costing 7 soles and they are my favorite pairs now! we had done a lot of research beforehand to be sure we were going to the best places (on to mention searching Adventure Life reviews a lot on the web). My only regret was not having planned to be there for more than 8 days. I feel like I only got a taste of it, and then had to leave! Thanks for sharing!

Hi i loved both your posts above and am planning on a trip to Peru next year and will def include MP, why did you choose Adventure Life Tours? How big were the tours and what was the make up of them. I am have traveled alot of the world and have used alot of hop on hop off tour buses that means I get to choose where I go and when. Is there anything similar that you know of in Peru? any advice you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Hands down the best place I've visited on my travels. Peruvians have to be some of the nicest people in the world aswel which helps!
I have a couple of friends living in Lima at the moment and they absolutely love it. I'd recommend the Nazca lines in the south if you're going to Peru.
