Feel the Nature and get adventurous at Xplor!

We went to the Playa del Carmen bus terminal and ...Read more I've never had such a challenging and amazing day at a theme park as I had at Xplor! We were in doubt, whether we would chose Xcaret or Xplor but finally we decided to go for the most adventurous one! We went to the Playa del Carmen bus terminal and bought a pair of Xplor tickets for 100 USD each, including transportation in their regular buses. At 9 in the morning the next day, after a 30 or 40 minutes bus ride, we were checking in the underground park, wearing our helmets, and ready to go! We walked through the caverns until we found the lockers where we left our dry clothes and stuff. We were explained that all caverns and attraction paths converged into a big red beating heart which is the core of the park. The first attraction we rode was the "Amphibious Cars", a 30 minutes ride through caverns and jungle, pending bridges, an excellent Indiana Jones style adventure! By the time we walked back to the heart we had realized we've been taken several pictures from hidden cameras! Next attraction was navigating a subterranean river in a "balsa", being careful not to hit the millions of stalactites and stalagmites that hanged from the rocks! Awesome! Then with our life vests on, we swam an 800 mts subterranean river perfectly beautiful. If you think we were hungry after doing all that you're right! Fortunately, unlimited delicious energetic foods and beverages are included in your admission, as well as a delicious buffet in a theme restaurant. The adventure went on and then all of a sudden we were on queue for the zip lines (canopy), which we thought we would never do! Two circuits, equally challenging… once you’re in, you cannot leave before you complete the entire circuit which takes more than 1 hour. Staff people were so cool, and so encouraging that before you knew it we were hanging in the air having so much fun! Expect water landings, water ramps, and lots of climbing and walking. In case you're wondering, anyone can do this but you do have to have good health conditions and be relatively in a good shape! By the end of the day, we had rode all the attractions and we were ready to give back our helmets, buy Xplor t-shirts and souvenirs in the underground store, and buy a cool theme pen drive with all the pictures we've been taken! Did we miss the bus back to Playa del Carmen? Yes, we did! We took a taxi for something like 15 or 20 dollars and soon we were safely at the hotel, feeling exhausted and amazed with all we have done!
