I have been already a few times in the capital city of Malaysia. Despite its size and youth, the city is beautiful, with semi-historical buildings, modern skyscrapers, and excellent parks.

I had to go to Kuala Lumpur on business and was lucky enough to be able to stay in one of the most expensive and luxurious hotels in the city. I also visited several landmarks, although not as many as I would have liked.

Kuala Lumpur is alive, as vibrant, and as modern as any Western city, but it's a whole lot cheaper. With the current exchange rate of RM3.8 (Ringgit Malaysian) to USD$1, just about anyone can afford this great destination.
