This is my third trip to Belize, and my second to the city of San Pedro on the island of Ambergris Caye. I'm not just a tourist this time, but a guest of a resident, and this gave me a different perspective on San Pedro.

Having never been out of the USA, we were not sure we should opt for an "adventure" rather than a planned tour. You're going where? Yes, we heard it a lot.

We spent a week at the Resort at Banyan Bay on San Pedro Island, and enjoyed it immensely. Good accomodations at the resort, thoughtful and responsive service, delicious food, a fun town to wander around, and interesting and inexpensive souveniers.
