It's so easy to spend a whole day here. The $17.50 entrance fee for adults will even cover your return trip the next day. You might need another day to make sure you've got all the grounds covered!
On their website they list all the current exhibitions.

It had been 17 years since I last visited Vermont for skiing. I had good memories of that visit, but over time one appears to retain primarily the good ones, and forget the bad ones. But coming back to Mount Snow proved that my good memories of before were still valid! The place was as wonderful as ever!!
I stayed at a resort in Wilmington, VT, only 20 minutes from Mt. Snow's Base Lodge. The Inn where I stayed is a historic monument, and whilst it has retained its charm of times past, it also has modern amenities in the units, as well as a nice pool and spa facility.
The village itself is small, but has some fine restaurants. And there are some nice activities in the area, such as the horse drawn sleigh rides!

I took my husband to Woodstock for his birthday. We had the most marvelous weather and enjoyed the scenery tremendously. We stayed at the Shire Motel just two blocks from the green in downtown Woodstock. It is a small motel with not a lot of amenities, but we didn't need them because we were gone all day touring. Our room was large with two queen beds and all the rooms look out the back to a green hill and a clear flowing stream. It was such a peaceful view.
We had some exceptional meals at various locations. We ate at Bentley's restaurant in downtown Woodstock on Saturday evening. A jazz trio was playing; the food was delicious with a great wine selection and diverse menu. The Bentley salad was outstanding! We also ate at Simon Pearce's restaurant for lunch. My husband had a calamari salad to die for and my warm Brie and spinach salad was very tasty. Their desserts looked fabulous. We drove about 12 miles outside of Woodstock to eat at Skink Hollow Tavern. It's a small tavern built in the 1700s and you need reservations to go there as it is quite small. We enjoyed the drive in the country and the food was delicious.
After eating at Simon Pearce's restaurant, we toured the retail store and watched glass being made. The glass is so beautiful and there is also a sale area for those thrifty people.
We went to the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park and toured the mansion and gardens and also the Billings Farm directly across the road from the mansion. The park is the only national park devoted to conservation. The tour was excellent and made you want to learn more about the owners.
I highly recommend visiting Vermont if you like nature, natural beauty, and picturesque villages. The whole time we were there and driving around the state, we saw only one McDonald’s and no other chain stores. Vermont is now one of my most favorite US destinations.

This health food store offers an incredible variety of healthy, organic grown foods as well as thousands of other items that focus on health and personal growth. This place is very popular among the residents of the town as well as the Middlebury College Community. This Co-Op has a special place in my heart since I worked here for two years as a volunteer. Along with the excellent food and service, there is a real community here where people get together for pot-luck suppers, personal growth gatherings, trips, etc. I often regret moving back to Connecticut - my two years living in Vermont were so fulfilling, especially because of the wonderful friends who shared their lives with me. So many people in Vermont have given up high paying jobs to live here. Many of my friends, who are highly intelligent, and very wise, survive somehow on low-paying jobs in order to live in Vermont. I often question their lack of motivation to be"Successful", to make a contribution to the world. Yet these people are rich in spirit, in having lives centered in values quite different from our materialistic society. They truly believe in simplicity, of trusting in the Universe or God to care for them..and you know, they more than survive..they flourish in caring inter-personal relationships, in the joy of solitude, of being in a place of incredile beauty. Whenever I visit Vermont I question my own values and priorities.Close

If you do get over to Windsor, you should take a look at the Windsor-Cornish Covered bridge over the Connecticut River. While I'm apparently immune to the charms of the covered bridge, many people get very excited, perhaps more so since "The Bridges of Madison County" came out.
If coming from the south of Windsor you'd be driveling north on Route 5. At the first stop light in Windsor, turn right on Bridge Street and it's about a quarter mile down. For photographers, there's a nice angle from the New Hampshire side where you can get the bridge in the center of your picture with Mount Ascutney in the background. As long as you're on the New Hampshire side, look around for reclusive author J.D. Salinger ("Catcher in the Rye", "Franny and Zooey"). He lives in Cornish and occasionally shows up in Windsor.

Who knew how much there is to know about marble? This is an interesting place that takes you through several exhibits and finishes you up at, of course, the gift shop! You start out by watching a movie about how marble is mined, then you can walk through the Hall of Presidents, the Marble Chapel and displays of everything from marble-countered kitchen displays to marble sculptures. Not the most exciting place on the planet but not bad. If you are in the market for anything from chess sets to cheese boards, check out the gift shop. You can find almost everything you can imagine made out of different colors of marble.Close

The Silo Family Restaurant, located half a mile from the entrance to Mount Snow. Very reasonable prices and excellent food. Children's menu, gameroom, and outdoor BBQ on weekends. We loved this place - we ate here three nights in a row!
Dot's Restaurant in Wilmington and Dot's Too in West Dover serve homestyle food at reasonable prices. Favorite spots for the locals.
There are other restaurants, including Italian and Chinese.
