This is near the southern most point in the United States, sacred to the Hawaiians. The little town of Naalehu is small but charming, with a great public market early Saturday morning. Also nearby is the Volcano National Park. Best Things About the Resort: The units are very nice. Ask for the handicapped unit (no. 61) just behind the pool. The pool and barbeque area are very nice, and there is a great hot tub. The Pacific Ocean is your backdrop. Resort Experience: The one-bedroom, one-bath handicapped unit just behind the pool area was great for four adults. There is a Murphy bed in the living room and a huge bedroom and bath. It is very nicely appointed and fully equipped. Ask for unit no. 61-I would think it is the ONLY handicapped unit in the RCI inventory at this resort. The pool area is perfect. We go there all the time just to get out of town. It is out of the way, and there is no nightlife to speak of. The golfing is at your doorstep and is really a fun course. This is a quite out-of-the-way place about halfway between Kona and Hilo.
