A bit pricy (but what's not pricy in San Francisco), but ideally located and very comfortable.

Overall very nice experience. The rooms in the tower (the new section of the hotel) are a little bland, but clean and comfortable. The older section has lots of character, but some rooms (certainly not all) do show their age.
A grand old hotel that could use a little polishing

This hotel was extra acommidating because my wife and I just got married. It was our wedding night and the hotel manager specifically made sure that we had an unforgettable stay at the hotel. Everything was perfect.
Old but heavily renovated hotel.

Around 3 blocks from union square and Chinatown, but 3 blocks of steep uphill/downhill which I'm not used to. Overall, nice hotel. It's located in a very quiet area, but next time, maybe I'd like to try hotels in union square area instead.

Check in was easy and it was all down hill from there! I stayed in the Fairmont for 6 nights. I was only able to sleep 2 of those nights. The walls are made of kleenex and spit and EVERY sound is amplified echoed down the halls. I could hear ...Read more
