Description: I stayed with my friends for 2 nights at the Seattle Renaissance hotel. We paid about $80 per night and found the deal through Priceline. The location is in main downtown and is quite close to Pike place market and Seattle downtown. The hotel is easily accessible from I-5.
The rooms were quite nice and the front desk personnel accommodated our request to change from the reserved single king bedroom, to a room with two beds. The hotel charges $22 per night for parking but a nice talk with the front desk led to a waiver for the first night charge.
The usual shampoo/conditioner etc. provided in the bathroom were nice. The quality of the bed and the pillows was quite impressive and we had a very good sleep.
The hotel is highly recommended except for the high parking rates which is quite the norm in the Seattle downtown hotels. Getting a good deal from Priceline made the hotel stay even sweeter.
Overall, I had a mixed experience with the front desk. The guy whom I interacted with at check-in was extremely nice and helpful while the guy I met the next morning for some travel enquiries was really rude.
