The Sebastian cemetery is located relatively centrally in the new town and is almost the equivalent of St. Peter's Cemetery in the small town. It probably goes back to an old plague when the cemetery was erected and changed between 1595 and 1600. The order was given by Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau. The plan was then to create the Sebastian Cemetery designed by Italian architect Andrea Berteleto after the Italian model of the Campo Santo.
