My suggesting is also to "Start from India."
Reason: There are many places in India to visit and it will going to take more time in India.
And you have not mention that, how many days you are going to spend in this 3 country trip.
Thailand and Malaysia are small country compare to India. Hence distance for one place to another place is also less in this two countries(Thailand and Malaysia).
Or
If you want to visit nearest place then visit German.
There are so many historical places and beautiful Villas are there.
