What are the best beaches in Asia?

Posted by Threeland on May 04, 2010

I am planning to visiting Asian beaches in this summer. Does anyone tell me where we can find the best beaches in Asia especially for honeymooners?
Your suggestions would be appreciated.

Where do you mean by Asia? That's a massive area - maybe you could narrow it down a bit for us.

Indeed Thailand has many nice beaches, but most of the beaches are very crowded with so many tourists. I can recommand to you the beaches of the tropical island Palawan. Palawan is located just north of Borneo, and surrouded by the Chinasea on the eastcoast and the Sulusea on the westcoast. Palawan is still covered with a lush tropical rainforest. And the most important of all, there is no mass-tourism like in Thailand. For honeymooners I can recommend these 2 resorts in Palawan: El- Nidoresorts, and Amanpuloresort. In the sea around Palawan are more than 1000 islands scattered, with georgous beaches and many with an intact coralreef. Good info about Palawan on this site www.palawan.gov.ph

The best beaches that I've visited in Asia would have to be Boracay in the Philippines, and Koh-Chang beach (http://koh-chang.info/beaches/) in Thailand. The ambiance there is just so tranquil and welcoming, perfect for a romantic getaway!
