Unlike other places, Schwartz's smoked meat is thick but very tender! Remember to ask for "medium" when you are ordering the smoked meat.. because that is the best! The fatty part is not oily at all, and the lean part will not be too dry if you ask for medium ;)
You can order a sandwich, or a plate. Normally, I order large plate of smoked meat. If I cannot finish, I can always have it to go! It still tastes good after heating it in the oven ;)
You can also get take-outs. Buy it by pounds, sliced or unsliced, or choose from the menu they have. They also have steak and calf's liver, but I love their smoked meat the most! Their fries are good too. Very crispy outside, and soft inside... Just like the way I like my fries to be done!
The place is not clean most of the time, so if you cannot stand dirtiness, better get take-out ^^; Usually there is a line at lunchtime, but the wait is definitely worth it!
Oh yeah, just a reminder - they only accept CASH! No cards, nothing. They do have an ATM machine inside the bistro, but just to let you know in case you don't like to use those ATM machines ;)

Ordering their Rib Steak included a liver steak; Combo is steak and smoked meat. There's also a combo chicken selection. Each of these includes dill pickle, coleslaw salad, French fries, a couple of cut-up pieces of a frankfurter. The food portions are huge, so you won't go away hungry. People are lined up outside on this very popular place, on the left of the entrance to dine-in, on the right of the entrance side are take-out. All the people in your group must be already there to be seated. Sharing tables are a given unless you have six in your party to fill up. Catering service available. Hours: Sunday-Thursday 9am-12:30am, Friday 9am-1:30am, Saturday 9am-2:30am Email
