We went on a RC cruise and one of the stops was at Nassau, Bahamas. After going on a snorkeling excursion we decided to stop at the Straw Market. (It is very close to the catamaran we went on.) There was a man across the street selling coconuts for ...Read more

A very intersting place. A LOT of people seeing stuff in a small place. Most of it is just T-shirts and trinkets. However, you can find some nice things if you look.

The Straw Market is a great place to see local people with some of their crafts. Purses, hats dolls etc. abound here. Also available are spices, candles, seashell items and clothing

Be prepared to be harassed, it is part of the style. This is the place to get a few rasta braids or two. Take home some tee-shirts and local items. This is the kind of stuff that will eventually end up in your garage sale, not your estate sale! Once ...Read more
