Description: Museum of chocolate
The museum of chocolate is of course about chocolate. This fascinating museum can be found in the city of Barcelona. Right near the city park and the Barcelona Zoo it’s perfect to combine those three into a little day trip. You can take the yellow metro line to metro stop Villa Olympica and work your way up from the zoo, the park and ending at this museum.
The entrance fee is very decent and for the price of four euro’s you have access. It’s not a very large museum and i think we took around half an hour up to an hour to see it all. The museum shows you the history of chocolate, the commerce and beautiful art of chocolate. I thought the history about the chocolate was quiet fascinating and the shows you the evolution of chocolate throughout Europe.
Although there is information about chocolate and the way it’s made, the museum is largely about arts work of chocolate. While these are fascinating to see, I was a bit disappointed about them. Of course at the end of the museum is a gift shop were you can fin all the different kind of chocolate and it was actually quiet fun and delicious to try some out.
I think the museum is worth the trip especially since it’s easy to combine with the city park and the zoo. I do think the museum is more for children then for adults. The entrance price is very reasonable and for that reason four stars.
