While we were here, there was a huge cultural arts festival going on, so the place was packed. If you do plan on visiting the Statue, try a weekday visit. The Saturday we were there, I would guesstimate the wait for the boat for the statue to be between 2 and 3 hours! You can go to their website at to check out what is going on during your visit. You will find restaurants on the grounds, as well as numerous food vendors. Souvenir vendors abound here, also. On busy days, you will often find ladies dressed as the Statue. For a tip, you can have your picture taken with one.
