Description: Whether or not you loathe stairs, the Quebec Funicular is the easiest – and most scenic – way to get from Old Quebec’s Haute-Ville (upper town) to Basse-Ville (lower town). This funicular railroad travels at a 45 degree angle up 194 vertical feet, and has been in continual operation (in one form or another) since 1879. Don’t worry: if the funicular’s not your thing, you can always take the stairs. 200 feet up.
