Mario's wife brought along some food and the fish swarmed around. She was able to coax one black and white lamprey from its hiding place.
Since there is a bit of current, you can hang on to a rope at the back of the boat and Mario will tow you over the coral. The water is about 15 feet deep.
There are lots of fish to see, and the water is warm enough that you don't need to wear anything and you'll be OK for a couple of hours. We saw stingrays, barracudas, several types of eels, and lots of very colorful fish.
At the end of the trip, you head toward the reef, which is about five km off the shore of the resort. A few brave souls jumped out and fought the strong current to get a close up look at the reef. It was amazing how strong the water was. This was our first experience with current and reefs.
We had a great time.
