The hotel grounds are actually very nice and well decorated, slightly old, but in good condition, very simple and Italian. The staff is also quite friendly and fairly helpful. The had a lovely breakfast area with a patio overlooking the street, which was great for people watching. They had a small lounge/library inside which was fine, there were always people in there reading or watching TV. There is also an outside terrace, which we never made it too, but looks nice in their photos online.

The breakfast each morning is the same throughout Italy and consisted of breads, cereal and fruit. Nothing special at all, but nice to have. They had a bar with sodas and drinks. We never ordered anything from here.

If you come with a car, be warned, it is very difficult to park in Sorrento. Many roads are closed to cars at different times throughout the day and night. We got two tickets and towed in a matter of three days... ask your hotel when booking where to park.

We were told we could park in front of the hotel, but only if we got there before 6. The traffic getting into Sorrento is insane and the road is small and windy with cliffs on the passenger side. We did not get there by six, it was around 7 and the street was closed off. So we had to park a mile away and carry our bags, which was not a huge deal, but it can be avoided. So plan accordingly!

You are probably reading this saying so why did she not like this hotel?? There is really only one reason I did not like this hotel. The bedroom--awful: dirty, uncomfortable, and old. Ugly orange bedspreads on the old beds. Linoleum flooring is just screaming cheap. I felt like I was in a high school gym. My dorm room in college was nicer.

I do not expect a lot when traveling, but this hotel was not very cheap (140 euro a night), and the other parts of the inn were very quaint. So the dull, dirty, and old bedroom really surprised me. I woke up in the middle of the night only to see some weird, nasty bugs crawling around the floors-- oh god, it was so gross. We really wanted to leave the hotel, but we were on a limited budget and were only staying here for three days.

They do have a website, so you can check it out online. It is not the worst place I have ever stayed, but the bugs really sealed the deal for me.

Sorrento is so beautiful and so romantic that it is just completely depressing to have to go back to a nasty hotel room. Close
