This is a fine 3 star hotel that offers 5 star service! There are 2 places to stay here: one is the restored 19th century villa with the frescoed ceilings or choose the more modern addition closer to the parking lot/pool and contains the breakfast and conceirge area.
It was MIGHTY FINE crawling into a huge (unusual for Europe) bed with crisp starched sheets after a long day of walking and sightseeing! Did I say starched sheets???? Yep, I did!
Next is the bathroom from heaven! There are more shower heads on more plumbing fixtures in this room then you''ll have body parts to spray! I LIKE impecable clean bathrooms, and this was! Move on to the tub that is over elongated....I was stretched out and floating in the flowery bathsalts that were left everyday at tubside for me.
By the way...you will need to soak for several days just to be able to MOVE after climbing the Campanille tower by the Duomo in Florence!
Fresh fruit was always available at the frontdesk for any hour. Breakfast was included and had the usual Italian stuff( cheese, bread, ham) but also sacks of cornflakes, sweetrolls, fresh fruit, and we had scrambled eggs a few days with bacon.
Rita and Daniel were exceptionally helpful conceirges offering all kinds of advice and directions. All in all, I enjoyed the low-key friendly service and wouldn''t hesitate to stay with them again.
