nice hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Quiet. the only problem was that it was a little difficult to find. A short easy walk from Centraal Station. Lots of restaurants nearby.

It was good right up until the check out, that was when it got bad.

That was when it got bad. ...Read more I travel a lot but I have never written any kind of reviews before, but based on my experience in this hotel, I just had to say something. A cautionary tale if you will. Everything was great, but...then I had to check out. That was when it got bad. Let's start with the great first, and how the bad quickly and overwhelmingly outshone the good. The check in people were friendly, showed me maps and told me how to get around, etc. Night after night, they were friendly and more than helpful with any questions I had. I was there for 4 nights. Then came check out time. It's a different set of employees than the ones I had encountered so far, but this set could not have been more rude and condescending to me. I was deeply confused by the incredibly vast difference in behavior of the staff. The hotels accounting section had made a mistake in my final bill and had I not done my due diligence I would have lost around 400 Euro. I was calm and I asked nicely, but the front desk people for that day treated me with disdain and could not wait to get rid of me, even after discovering the mistake that their hotel had done. I had to double check with the manager on duty to make sure the money was credited back to my account. That's right, they actually took the money already. I'm not a financial whiz, but I'm pretty sure I lost some money with all that foreign exchange going back and forth. That set of front desk employees for that day really gave me a bad impression of the hotel, and woe to anyone that encounters them. Based on this, and this is more than enough and also on the fact that the hotel overcharges your final bill and then when you try to correct them, they treat you like an idiot, I cannot recommend this hotel at all. Amsterdam has far better options and from what the airport taxi guy told me later, I should have just stayed at the other 4 star hotel nearby. I can't reiterate this enough, stay away from this place. If you gotta go here, then go for the restaurant. It's a nice one. Close

Great value for money. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Had medical needs to accommodate and everything was ready upon arrival. Centrally located. Within walking distance to majority of attractions. Highly recommend.
