The beach is down a short boardwalk. Chairs are available for a fee. The water in November was in the high 70s. Cool, but not bad for walking in the shallow surf.
The pool area was great! They have a fantastic house band that plays most afternoons. They play a little of everything. The hot tub is on a terrace overlooking the pool and has padded lounge chairs. This is a good place to hang out without kids. The pool itself was very clean and has a waterfall spilling into it. There is also a fountain with a rubber surface for kids. My 16-month-old loved playing in the fountain and on the wide steps of the pool. Overall, this is one of the best resorts I have stayed at. We all agreed that we would gladly return.

Our view we had was breathtaking, overlooking an estuary, then the beach. We spent many hours just relaxing there and watching the ships and pelicans go by. Everything was well maintained and very clean--nice work done by the house keeping staff!

The pool was great and many entertaining activities were available. An on-site movie theater offered entertainment everyday and the surrounding area offered many opportunities for exciting daily trips to the space center, wildlife refuge, zoo and many water oriented activities. Great place for the whole family.

Another thing that we missed was having a TV in every room. I'm not sure if this is true for all units or not. The kitchen was not as well-equipped with dishes and utensils as some other units we have had, but it was okay. We just ran the dishwasher more! There is housekeeping once during the middle of the week and they went above and beyond what we expected or read in the literature. The housekeeping staff needs to be commended for their excellent job!
The unit itself was very spacious for the five of us. The master bedroom had a huge walk-in closet and the second bedroom had a smaller closet. The hallway was lined with doors that housed a closet, a pantry and the washer/dryer. The living/dining room was quite large and we were very comfortable using that area for meals, games and watching TV. The patio outside the deck had a small table with four padded chairs.
The Monday morning review of activities is a great way to start out the week. We used the information we received on the casino cruises and Kennedy Space Center. We enjoyed several activites at the resort itself. They had one evening pool party (hamburgers/hotdogs/etc.) for only $3 each with live music and a door prize. We also went to their theater several evenings for movies.
I definitely would return to this resort and I would like to spend more time just relaxing on the beach, by the pool, and enjoying their planned activities.
