At the Las Americas airport in Santo Domingo, you should exchange $100 or $200 into Dominican pesos. This will pay taxi fare, first night hotel, and bus transportation. If you arrive in the Dominican Republic before noon, you can take a taxi from the airport to the Bani bus terminal at parque Enriquillo in Santo Domingo. For an afternoon arrival, I would suggest staying in Boca Chica for the night. I can suggest the Hotel Mango, ph.          (809) 523-5333. Use bus transportation the next day to Santo Domingo.
