Description: The best steakhouse in Vancouver, and coming from me that says a lot.
I went with a coworker from the East Coast who had been there previously and told me it was right up my alley.
We didn't have reservations and so we had to sit in the lounge. I loved it because of all the people, but if you do want a table make sure to make a reservation.
Gotham suffers from another problem that Vancouver as a whole does, gorgeous waitresses. Not only are they gorgeous, they are great at their jobs, they make you feel welcome, and ensure your dining experience is the best possible.
I like my steak cooked, I mean well cooked, and most places like this don't like you to eat it that way, it takes too long and they feel rare is the way to eat steak.
I ordered my New York cut medium, but when it came it was bloody as hell, no problem the waitress said I thought you might want it done a bit more.
They took it away and brought it back, still looked undercooked but I was urged to try it. Damn was it the best steak I've had in my life and it wasn't even cooked how I like it.
That's how good their steak is.
Another MUST HAVE is their baked potato, it's around $5 but comes on its own plate it is so big. They then bring you an array of condiments for it, that you can smother this huge spud with.
I was extremely impressed with Gotham, from the interior, service, and most importantly the quality of food.
As I said my favorite place in Van to have a steak.
