Best of IgoUgo Before leaving for Memphis, we knew we were going to Elvis Presley’s mansion. It wasn’t because his music was in our era, but instead, it was because he had a significant role in rock-and-roll music. We felt that if we went there, we could view at ...Read more

I've been three times in my life, each time discovering a little more. Honestly, it’s a great piece of American kitsch that any visitor will love, especially the 60-year-old Australian mother of my partner. Be careful with the jokes, though, as ...Read more

Best of IgoUgo Graceland may have a reputation as a cheesy attraction for older people, but it can really be quite interesting, or at the very least, amusing as well. It definitely something you should go to see at least once. Graceland itself is easy to find. ...Read more

Graceland is like no other place on Earth! It is truly the representation of an American icon! It is a must for everyone. I would suggest doing the entire tour, too. It is more expensive, but you get a lot for your buck. Plus, the airplane is ...Read more

This is one large, gaudy tourist trap of a shrine to Elvis. Was it worth the money? Yes. Would I do it again? No. We bought the combo ticket, so we had a tour of the mansion and admission to the car collection, museum, and jets. On the outside, ...Read more

Best of IgoUgo Full disclosure: I am not a rabid fan. When I was maybe 8 or 9 years old, I thought Elvis (the young Elvis) was really, really cute, and that's the extent of it. I always thought Graceland would be one of those fun, wacky, campy, and tacky things ...Read more

I've been a fan of Elvis since I was a kid (I cried when he died), so I was really looking forward to seeing Graceland. Imagine my surprise when we pulled into the driveway in front of the house! The outside was surprisingly tasteful and modest. ...Read more

Best of IgoUgo Ass of my life I heard how beautiful Graceland was at Christmas. This year, I finally got a chance to see firsthand. The guide said they do everything just the way the King did it when he was alive. I love Christmas and Christmas decorations, so ...Read more

There are walls of memorabilia. From records to awards to his clothes. A lot of the rooms are blocked off so you can't actually walk into them. We were unable to view the upstairs.

But seeing the mansion was well worth it.

Graceland was shockingly awesome. It was only $13 for the mansion tour with AAA and student ID. We got our audio tour headsets and entered the house. You’re led through the living room, dining room and kitchen and then downstairs. My favorites ...Read more
