We originally dropped by just to see Mr Jelly Belly, who they'd put on stage for Christmas. It was an entertaining show, but some of the jokes flew over the heads of the kids, most of whom probably only spoke English as a second language and weren't exactly versed in British colloquialisms. The poor performer was sweating rather a lot in the heat, and I have to admit that I felt somewhat sorry for him.
Once finished, we had a look around, and there's about 10 shops. Not bad for a resort, including the only shop we bought anything from: the mini-mart. They had a fine selection of ice cream and every other snack we love.
There are a few restaurants that looked okay, but I'd rather be dining on the beach or eating the buffet at the hotel.
There are also some handicrafts and clothes shops, but they are not really for serious shopping. What you can do is get essential snacks, a few tasteful souvenirs, and the odd designer shirt.
