Came across this little bar the other night whilst just wandering around the Old Town. We were drawn by the sound awesome rock music which we could hear out on the street (finding places that played rock was very hard in the Old Town!). When we got down there the place was empty except for the two staff members, one very attractive girl and the Australian bartender (I never expected to come across an Aussie who lived and worked here!). They were very friendly and talkative. Scored some good tips on what to do and where to go from them.
We stuck around for a bit because it was so cheap! Most of the beers, ciders and spirits were between 30 - 40 kr. Easily the cheapest place we came across in our four days in Tallinn, and literally in the very centre of the Old Town to top it off.
We left to find some food but when we returned around 23:00ish, the place was packed. Locals and tourists alike, mostly backpackers but there were also some older Finnish tourist who were going mental!
We ended up staying there til 03:00, an hour later than they were supposed to close. The Aussie bartender said he was having too much fun to close (plus, I think he also like everyone partying to his own taste in music?).
We came back the next night, a Friday, but it was totally different. There was a DJ there playing these old-school tunes mostly from the '80s & '90s but there were also a few from the '00s, and the joint was packed! Despite the change in music, which wasn't as much to our taste, we had an awesome time again. Cheap drinks and some special shots that were extra cheap that night. Brilliant night!
I just wish we had discovered this place on our first night in town rather than our 3rd...
