Description: Situated in southeastern Alaska, the Glacier Bay is a massive area of water, renowned for its many branches, inlets, lagoons, islands and channels, the beauty of which have made it an increasingly popular tourist destination. Wildlife here includes whales, Stellar sea lions, rare birds, coastal bears, seals and eagles. Tours of the bay depart from Glacier Bay Lodge on Bartlett Cove on a heated, high-speed catamaran, and bring visitors up close and personal with the marine and coastal wildlife of the bay, in addition to massive glaciers like Margerie and Grand Pacific Glacier, and towering mountains. Each eight-hour cruise is narrated by a National Park Service Ranger.
