GreaT ROOM FOR THE MONEY. We do wish theywould have let us know that the pool was closed for renovations. That is a large reason we chose this facility

We stayed at the Grand Crowne Resort from 12/26-12/28. NONE of it is true. ...Read more We stayed at the Grand Crowne Resort from 12/26-12/28. According to the Grand Crowne website, there is internet access in each room, there is a basketball court on the premises and there is a shuffleboard court on the premises. NONE of it is true. After checking in and getting to our room, I found a letter dated June 2011, that internet access is NOT available in the room. You have to go to the activities center in the basement. Given that I need to be on the internet and phone at the same time, this causes a huge problem since the basement is underground and has zero signal strength for the cell phone. Regarding the basketball court and shuffleboard court; it took TWO HOURS for someone to determine where the courts were and where we needed to get the equipment to play. The basketball and shuffleboard courts were in a completely different complex that we had to drive to. This was determined after several phone calls to the "front desk" check-in center, driving around trying to find the other place, and finally, physically going to the check-in center to get it straghtened out. Diana, at the counter, didn't even know what shuffleboard was, and she was looking at a map of the complex we were staying in, which showed the courts on our complex grounds. Lisa, the manager had to track down the activities person to determine where they were. The whole thing was incredibly frustrating. I found Lisa to be rude and unapologetic. She did not apologize one time for our two hour inconvenience. She just kept saying, "Well, the activities person is there now". I was furious! And to top it off, the shuffleboard "court" consisted of the scoreboard being painted on to the tennis court, which was all cracked. Good luck to anyone who wants to play on a cracked court, let alone if someone else is playing tennis two feet away from you. I will never stay with them again as they appear to be a bunch of circus clowns, running around the big top, looking for their noses. BTW, the condo was small and choppy. No windows in the living area or kitchen, only the bedroom which faced the walkway. If I had to pay full price during peak season, I would have checked out! Close
