The most amazing musicians of the evening were Jim’s young children. Jim’s young son, Sheaffer, is unbelievable. Sheaffer played drums, slide guitar, fiddle, and piano like a real pro. Jim and Sheaffer had a set with one picking a guitar and the playing slide guitar. All of the music was wonderful. Jim’s daughter, GG, had a piano solo that was very nice. Their talent is unbelievable for their ages. I believe that Sheaffer is only 10 and GG is 6.
The entire production is filled with lasers, a black light set and even a 3-D Virtual Thrill Ride. When you arrive at the theater, you are given a pair of 3-D glasses. During the 3-D Thrill Ride, bees fly from the stage and swarm the audience. There are flying gorillas, snakes and planes. You even see the genie Jim Stafford on a flying carpet. With the exception of Orlando’s Universal Studios, Terminator 3-D; this is the best 3-D experience I have seen.
For a fun filled evening of familiar music, great comedy and fun, we highly recommend going to see Jim Stafford.
The Jim Stafford Theater is located on the Hwy 76 Strip. It is just west of Hwy 165, and is between Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and the Moe Bandy Theater.

Tip: We found that if you park in the back of the theatre and walk around to the front, it was very easy to get to your car after the show and leave using the back street. The back street led us to another street that was just down the road from where we were staying.

I remember seeing Jim Stafford on TV as kid, but my kids had no idea what to expect. To my suprise, our nine-year-old laughed his head off. My much harder to please 13-year-old also managed to crack a smile. Jim's humor is timeless and ageless. His children are a part of the show and very talented themselves; his 11-year-old son plays at least four instruments. Jim also asks audience members to provide their own funny experiences by way of filling out a card. He reads a few of them at each performance; the submitters provided some funny comebacks at the show we attended.
This is a great show if you don't think the "hillbilly" humor of the Baldknobbers will go over well with your whole group.

I remember seeing Jim Stafford on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and the Tonight Show. I have always enjoyed the humor in his music. Not only is he a comedian, Jim Stafford is a remarkable musician. The cozy confines of the Jim Stafford Theater provide an up-close look Jim’s musical talent. Jim plays a few of his songs solo. Just Jim and his guitar. His band consists of a stand-up bass, guitar and conga drums. Jim’s young son Sheaffer stole the show. For his age, he is unbelievable. Sheaffer played drums, slide guitar, fiddle and piano like a real pro. Jim and Sheaffer had a set with one picking a guitar and the other a banjo. Jim‘s daughter GiGi also joins the show, by performing a wonderful piano solo. The entire production is filled with lasers, a blacklight set and even a 3-D Virtual Thrill Ride. When you arrive at the theater, you are given a pair of 3-D glasses. During the 3-D Thrill Ride, bees fly from the stage and swarm the audience. There are flying gorillas, snakes and planes. You even see the genie Jim Stafford floating on a flying carpet. With the exception of Universal Studios'' Terminator 3-D ride in Orlando, this is the best 3-D experience I have seen.
There is a restaurant above the Jim Stafford Theater. We had dinner there before the show. The pickings were pretty slim. They offered deli sandwiches, chips, salads and dessert. The pie was pretty good, but I think we will have dinner somewhere else in the future. You may want to have a cup of coffee and a piece of pie before the show.
