The locations are throughout Bangkok and Pattaya. Pattaya holds the original location dating back to around 1961. This location is a five minute taxi for us but we just walk up the street to the Lhad Phrao store which takes us 7 minutes. Mae Sri Reun is famed for perfecting their chiken and noodle soup. Plain and simple you can get this for just 36 baht. This is my style of noodles, I like to refer to them as Hong Kong noodles but am probably wrong. The restaurants are very clean and cozy. The food is mostly Thai but we order some of the Malay and Vietnamese dishes as well. The satay has a great peanut sauce and for the vietnamese spring rolls I say pass them up. Looking pretty on the menu, we don't desire them after our one try. The Thai salads are my gem and always order one at every sitting. For you pad thai lovers they make a great version wrapped in egg that you get to break open to find the easy eating stir fry. We don't care for the soups here nor the curry so much but to each his own and believe you would just have to try for yourself. Onto the herb drinks, here I believe you must try. They are about 35 baht each and are deliciously consumed by most patrons. Quite a good selection and refreshing. I've ordered more then one at a sitting before. So good you can sip the whole bottle in 2 sips. Strongly feel the pretty good or three stars is accurate. We've enjoyed quite a few meals here most were above average and a few maybe poor choices by us. Anyways we will still be visiting, close to home and lovely sour spicy salads. The price is picture perfect for any visitor enjoying a decent meal. I will enter tonight's meal and price. For 436 baht (just under 15 dollars) we enjoyed a lemon grass and herb salad with peanuts. Wrap it up in the leaves provided and take them in. The themed item noodles and chicken, fried oyster and egg omelete, pork satay, two herb drinks and a bottle of mineral water. Lastly the restaurants all have the same name written in Thai characters. So this will be the challenge, but think I can post a pic of it or its the same as the web site. Choke dee (good luck) Close
