Eat in your car or at one of the few tables inside, as Henry’s burgers and milkshakes are the highest-quality food for miles around. The grilled-cheese sandwich is also top-notch. Like so many eateries in café country, Henry’s looks like something left over from the 1950s, but this isn’t retro--this is the real thing. You order and pick up your food at the counter. Whenever we are in the vicinity, we lunch at Henry’s. Wouldn’t consider anywhere else, having tried them. Sometimes, considering what else is available, we go there for dinner, especially if Cowboy Smokehouse is full up.
While the burgers are great and the fries pretty good, it is the milkshakes that are not to missed. Don’t just order your favorite: study the long list of flavors available and get adventurous. You won’t be disappointed. I can’t remember how it is at Henry’s, but many Utah shake places actually have twice as many options as are on the menu because both vanilla and chocolate ice cream are available. My favorite is chocolate ice cream with mint and marshmallow. By the way, there is a good chance you will see, somewhere during your Utah visit, a pretty little orange wildflower. This is the Orange Globe Mallow, a distant cousin of the white wild swamp flower, the Marsh Mallow. Dinner at Henry’s is a couple bucks more than McDonald’s, but the food is worlds better.
