Description: This is bizarre juxtaposition of nature and man. On the one hand is the awesome spectacle of the fury of the collision of ocean and land known as "la bufadora" (it's a blowhole) and on the other is an open air market filled with tourist goods. Amazingly, both are worth the trip!
The market has probably a hundred shops, filled with all sorts of things you don't need. Best values are handmade crafts; worst values are sunglasses that will break later that week. Haggling is expected, but don't get too greedy - it's rude! Open air cooking smells will beckon you; fish tacos are a hit - eat up!
At the bottom of the market is the blowhole - thundering roars followed by huge plumes of spray overhead.
Whalewatching (in the winter months) and diving are also available. Parking is a hassle - arrive early in the day. Restaurante La Bufadora offers decent food and sweeping vistas.
